Congratulations once again to Jackie Walker on her purchase of another Rugged Cross Stables horse. She now owns Samson, by RCS Shadrach and out of a Dutch Warmblood mare as well as Misty (Divine Design) and has him looking great and doing very well in his training. Have a great year, Jackie.
Congratulations to Lisa Kalbfleisch of Ancaster on the purchase of Rio’s Routine. She will be boarded at Avery Hill Stables where (uncle) Caddy is and I’m sure Rio’s Routine will be loved and pampered by Lisa and her family. All the best to Lisa and Rio’s Routine.
Congratulations to Karen Stadleman on her purchase of Joshua. We look forward to watching them in the show ring soon. Good luck Karen.
We are so thrilled that Caddy Seville (My Caddilac) is now a part of the Irwin family. Best wishes to Russ, Leesa, and Andonia on their purchase of this very special horse. Caddy was the first horse bred at Rugged Cross Stables and was never expected to be leaving here. Leesa and Andonia had been leasing Caddy for the past two years and Andonia had been showing in the CW Trillium this year with much success. It was a very difficult decision to sell Caddy but we are very blessed to have him go to a home where he will be loved and cared for as much as he would have been here. I’m so happy for you Andy. I know you’ll keep in touch.
RCS Divine Design
Congratulations to Jackie Walker on her purchase of RCS Divine Design. We wish you all the best as you move from the hunter ring to the excitement of the jumper ring. We hope to hear many good reports about you two in the years to come. We know you’ll love Divine Design and the two of you will make a great partnership.
RCS Mandy was born on April 23, 2001 and is by the black Hanovarian stallion, Geronimo. She is out of the mare, Cassie, by Sommersby and is a half sister to RCS Shadrach. In this picture she is being ridden by Lauren Hayes at a Ceilidh (Kay-Lee) Stables Clinic in 2007. Her owner, Paige Niville is in the background watching. Mandy is a very careful jumper making sure she is well over any jump she attempts. She will be starting her show career this year at Palgrave and we hope her and Paige have a great year.
Tulip is a 2003 mare by the Dutch Warmblood stallion, Socrates, and out of the mare RCS Hannah Mae, by Lorbas, a Hannovarian and approved Canadian Sport Horse stallion. Tulip was purchased by Liesel Picov as a weanling and has been training for dressage. Lorbas has sired many outstanding jumpers and dressage horses, with at least one being long listed for the Canadian Olympic Dressage Team. Hannah Mae was probably Lorbas’s last foal as he was taken back to Germany shortly after her mother was bred and he died there soon after. Tulip has been progressing very well in her training and is shown by Liesel as well as her coach, Karin Davis. This picture was taken when she was a four year old in 2007, ridden by Karin, at the Royal Canadian Riding Academy in Newmarket. She was the Open Training Champion at this National Dressage Show.
Aries is a 2003 stallion by the Dutch Warmblood stallion, Socrates, and out of the half Arabian mare Carly’s Rosalie by N.V. Chinook. Chinook was a U.S. Top Ten Park horse twice, a U.S. National Equitation Champion, and won Regional Championships in Park, English Pleasure, Formal Combination, and Formal Driving. Aries was purchased by Emery Godin as a weanling and has shown tremendous jumping ability. He competed in the Free-Jumping Competition at the Royal Canadian Riding Academy in Newmarket as a three year old and finished in third place. He is just starting his under saddle training and we are expecting him to do very well in the jumper ring in the near future.
