Riding Lessons
At Rugged Cross Stables, we believe that horsemanship doesn’t start at the mounting block. We pride ourselves on teaching everything that goes into the daily care of a horse. In our lessons, the student will be able learn how to go to pasture and catch their horse, all aspects of grooming, saddling, along with riding.
Our lesson program was established in 2018 and has since reached hundreds of kids and adults. With almost 20 lesson horses in various sizes, levels, and disciplines, we are able to teach all riding abilities from beginner to advanced, including riders that are interested in reaching the competitive level. Please note, the minimum age for riding lessons is 7.
What to Bring to Your Riding Lesson:
Closed-toe shoes
Long pants
-Bundle up as needed for winter lessons!
*All other tack, equipment, and approved riding helmets are provided.
Private Lesson Pricing:
Individual Lesson: $40
Group Lesson Pricing:
Individual Lesson: $35
***New in 2022, Rugged Cross Stables will be launching group lessons. This is an opportunity for CURRENT intermediate to advanced students to ride with and make new friends. These will be small groups of 2-4 riders. New students must start with private lessons and upon the instructor’s approval, can move up to group lessons.
